Africa Envoy to Temple Pershing Mining Company advances negotiations with Kwango
Temple Pershing Mining Company envoy Luis De Vierna arrived in Kwango province last week to continue discussions with local governement in relation to a multi industry project between the mining company, local governement and Africana Group.
Kwango has long been known for its high concentration of diamonds in the tributary of the Kasai River. In fact the River Cuango is known as being the greatest source of natural diamonds in the world. However commercial diamond exploration and extraction has been largely overlooked in the country while concentration has been on its neighbour Angola.
The board of Temple Pershing Mining Company have extensive experience in DRC and Angola spanning over 20 years and highlighted Kwango province as a key location for extensive development not only in the perspective of mining but major infrastructure, should the option for negotiation ever arise. During the last 12 months a plan has been evolving to work with the governement, Africana Group and the team at our sister company Temple Pershing Infrastructure to agree and develop a national multi industry project that will not only enhance the lives of its people but provide key infrastructure for the future generation to develop further. The project will include rights for exploration and development of diamond mining along the river and inland and other minerals, extending to Gold, Copper and Cobalt. New roads, solar farm, and a commodities hub with warehousing and runway for private jets will all be part of the ambitious plan. Africana Group are an established farming company in DRC and will design, develop and manage several strategically located projects throughout Kwango. They will also work with our mining team to repurpose sites at the end of production into productive land. Discussions will continue as plans are developed for this massive important project that will enhance lives and provide employment and education for 1000s of local people. A project that with an estimated early valuation of in excess of 2bn $ which will make it one of the largest undertaking in recent years.
